We met in college. Years later, we moved to the same neighborhood by chance, living a few doors apart on the same street in Brooklyn, raising young families.

New parenthood made us pay more attention. We started to find ourselves reading labels we never read before. We started wondering what’s in the water we mix into baby formula, and the dust on the floor where our kids spend their days playing. When we went looking for real answers, we hit the same wall everyone hits: plenty of fear online, plenty of glossy wellness products not rooted in science, but no way to actually understand what health exposure matters, what it means, and what to do about it.

That gap is why we started ROSE. We built it from a parent’s lens, as citizen scientists set on bringing the best research and the best tools to everyday families. We set a standard on day one: the science leads.

Our first product is a water test, because water is the most direct and often overlooked path to harmful exposure in the home with effective solutions readily available. Our water test was designed in partnership, and is conducted by, one of the country’s top ISO-certified labs. They are a pioneer in the analysis of forever chemicals, a leading concern for people around the country.

We are developing additional tests to help you better understand exposures that could impact your health, decoding your exposome. The exposome is the measure of all the environmental exposures a person encounters throughout life, and how these factors impact health. Our goal is to map it, and we hope that ROSE can empower you to protect your health and wellbeing along with those you love.
